What's In Store

ree

The Holy Spirit gave me the opportunity to see how there are layers to the word, restore. It’s what led me to ask one of the most profound questions, “What is in store?” Simply asking, what is to come as a result of my own restoration? For many, restoration is an experience of getting back what once was lost. But with God, this may not always be the case. In fact, what God sees as restoration can be very different from what we see. And this totally makes sense because it was Him that forewarned that neither of us can share the thoughts of our Maker (Isaiah 55:8). For this reason alone, the outcome for what has become of your life may be drastically different from what God put in order.

Imagine the power behind this one understanding. Which can cause one to ask, “What is truly in store?” Or what I am being restored to? “I’ve accepted my restoration but what does it all entail?” With greater clarity of who God is, you would think such curiosity will result in having more faith. In most cases, many become faithless. Because many of us blindly walk into this realm that is known as life. So instead of being presented before God as His vessel, majority of the world are shown an array of closed doors with no clue of what’s behind them. Which begs one to ask, “What’s in store?” See the layers in this one scenario? Depending on our relationship, we can easily be asking the world of what to make of this life, instead of asking the One that intentionally gave us life.

And whoa how the tables turn, when it comes to who we ask. Because God created you with a story, while the world wants to sell you a story. And what’s being sold is so extreme that we find ourselves striving to reach a mark. But we all will soon discover that God’s plan was all about thriving. Being a game changer and a light for others to behold. Because they too desperately need to find what’s in store. “What does God have to say about me?” I can picture God replying, “I’m glad you asked.” Because in all honesty, it is God waiting to hear from you. He is not struggling to get to us. It is normally His people fighting through the darkness of this world in order to get to Him.

This is where we can finally ask the question, “What’s in store?” What am I to make of this life? Wouldn’t it be shocking to know that everything you would ever experience was already planned out? If this is the case, then this would mean nothing is happening by chance. This includes adding the mistakes to the pile because God never left out our shortcomings. He simply didn’t allow us to stay there by creating a way out. This gives us even greater reason to ask God the question: What am I being restored to? And as a result of asking this question with a sincere heart, we soon discover how distorted the world’s truth has been and how life can easily become chaotic. It just simply involves asking the right question and getting the right answer. And in order for right to equal right (🟰), it is only required that we ask who is always right. “God, what’s in store?”
